Sanctuary Upgrade Project

As we celebrated 50 years of ministry at Amherst Baptist in 2007, we undertook a project to upgrade our sanctuary facility to improve our communication of the gospel message through better physical, video and audio presentation - to prepare for the next 50 years.  The project is nearing completion with greatly improved lighting, upgraded audio capabilities, media presentation hardware and an up-to-date sound booth to centralize control of all.  The primary remaining project item is an expanded and elevated platform.

Key sanctuary upgrade issues of lighting and projection (100%) and sound booth (90%) are nearly complete as the sanctuary environment is prepared for a more consistent and focused presentation of the Word of God.

The replacement of central pews with chairs has created a long-awaited center aisle and has provided much more flexibility in the use of this space.

The primary aspect of the project remaining incomplete is the modification of the platform itself.  Although funded through gifts already received, the final design is not resolved at this time, the design is pending input from a new Sr. Pastor.

Further images and explanations are available at the church; please call Pastor Scott with any questions.

Thanks to all who have given so generously and faithfully to this project!
