We ground students in the Truth of God?s Word by loving them into the Kingdom, living life side by side with them and nurturing them to desire a God-filled life and an eternal life destiny. We build relationship with students through our weekly outreaches. During the school year it is REFUEL and through the Summer it is Friday Night Bash. These are nights primarily given over to fellowship and recreation. We have fun together and students begin to relate to each other through testimonies and shared experiences. Students are befriended and when the time is right, whether at weekly meetings or on special Encounter retreats, the Gospel of Christ is presented clearly and consistently.
At PowerHouse Youth Worship on Friday nights during the school year, students are challenged more directly to be living out their faith by walking in the Spirit-filled life and by putting aside the flesh of our old life. Music and fellowship, Scripture and testimonies, are all part of the PowerHouse experience. Some Fridays we divert off to a casual coffee house style that we call LightHouse and other times we change up to a more programmed style of outreach called Youth Explosion! Most every Friday of the school year we conclude our evening with an optional but very well attended fellowship called AfterBurn. And as we go out to a restaurant for appetizers the communion and friendship is extended. Whatever we do on Friday night throughout the year it is for the sole purpose of challenging students to be Grounded in the Word and to be Growing in knowledge of God, in intimacy with God, and in action along with God.
When students take a step of faith in Christ, realizing their need for a savior, we want to help them make wise choices in their new life with Christ. We desire that every student be discipled by at least one adult and at least one peer at all times through their journey with God. They are also urged to become a part of a weekly Bible study either on Sunday mornings at DNA or on Sunday evenings at InDepth. When they have truly counted the cost of living for Christ we desire students to be baptized to proclaim publicly that they are followers of Christ. X2 Youth Ministries uses many avenues to access students? lives. Leaders meet in small groups with students, speak at school Bible clubs and encourage students to take a leadership role in getting their peers to the foot of the cross of Christ. Encounter retreats, SnowReach Snow Camp, food fellowships and celebration banquets are annual events that we look forward to and they bring youth together around the common center of friendship in Christ. This year we are adding Summer Camp with Young Life at
