June is Busting Out All Over!

Time is marching on - AND FAST.
It is difficult to grasp how quickly the summer months have come to us this year. I am sure that for many of you, they have not come quickly enough. Ready or not, however, they are here.
How will this summer be different from summers past for you? I am sure it will include some time off; perhaps a trip or two; plenty of outdoor activities; grilling meals outdoors; family get-togethers; and well, the list could go on and on.
Let me ask you this question? Where does God fit into your summer plans this year? What have you scheduled to do and how has your time been planned for a "spiritual advance" in your journey with the Lord?
All of the "stuff" previously mentioned are okay activities. Yet, you can still make sure that this is the best summer ever for you, your family and your church. Here are a few items to consider:
When in town - be in church.
We need you and you need us
Place "eternal" things at the top of your "to-do-list"
You can be sure that Kathy and I are going to get acquainted with
Schedule some "extended time" with the Lord over the next three months
A retreat, a Christian camp, a day of focus on Kingdom things.
This could be a get-out-of-town time or it may simply be a get-by-myself time at the office, in the backyard or in a room at the church.
Do something for others and for the Lord.
Give a cup of cold water in Jesus' name.
Work in
Help with
Serve in the church nursery on Sunday morning.
Introduce your family and friends to worship with us when they come to visit you this summer.
Let us give them a big Amherst Welcome- no "Sunday Clothes" needed .
And, oh, by the way. We will be taking pictures over the next several weeks to build an "on-line" church pictorial directory. You can have your pictures taken before or after the Sunday Worship Service. So, get your hair cut or fixed, put on your favorite outfit and bring your smile with you next time you come to Church.
One last thought as I close. Do you know how grateful that Kathy and I are that God brought us to
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Dale
